Jon Mark

| FMC Lead Pastor

Jon Mark is a thoughtful individual who loves to study, preach, and live the Word. Jon grew up in a Mennonite family in Goshen, Indiana. In 2016 he received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and Peace, Justice & Conflict Studies at Goshen College. After graduating he spent a year in MVS in Seattle, WA where he served at an immigration law firm. In 2019, Jon received their MDiv from Duke Divinity School. Jon's call to ministry is rooted in peacemaking, creation care, LGBTQ liberation, and striving to be a community living into the Kingdom of God (Matt 5-7).

Barbara Ewy

| Children’s Pastor

Barbara Ewy grew up in the Texas Panhandle in a family of farmers and teachers. She graduated from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Chemistry. She has a master of arts degree in Christian Education from Goshen Biblical Seminary (now Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary). Barbara has worked with children most of her life. She has served on support staff and as a counselor, program director and camp pastor various years at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp, Camp Mennoscah, and Camp Keola. Barbara directed a summer day camp and children’s club during Voluntary Service. Barbara has also worked as a substitute teacher, tutor, and instructional aide in special education. As the children’s pastor Barbara especially seeks to nurture relationships between children and God, teaching them of God’s love and call to be followers of Jesus. Barbara and her husband Alan have two grown children.

Caley Ortman

| Youth Pastor

Caley Ortman grew up in the Midwest, born into a farming family in Freeman, South Dakota and attending Bethel College in Newton, Kansas before receiving his MDiV from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary and moving to California to join the pastoral team at First Mennonite in 2017. In addition to his responsibilities working with the youth of the church, he also shares roles preaching in the English service and leading the worship team for the Spanish service. Outside the church walls Caley also serves as the Chaplain at Sierra View Retirement Community, an institution founded by First Mennonite Church, and is one of the program directors at Camp Keola, a summer camp that serves the youth of Pacific Southwest Mennonite Conference.
